An exhibition “Craftकथा – 2025”, was inaugurated today by Sudha Murty, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), at Handloom Haat, Janpath, New Delhi, as part of the National Handicrafts & Heritage Week 2025 celebrations. She was accompanied by Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) Amrit Raj, Development Commissioner (Handlooms) Dr. M. Beena, and other senior officials of the Ministry of Textiles.
Craftकथा – 2025 aims to celebrate India’s artistic heritage by promoting sustainable livelihoods, encouraging young artisans, and strengthening grassroots craft ecosystems. Visitors will have an experience of live demonstrations, craft storytelling sessions, exclusive handcrafted collections, and interactive engagements with artisans.
The event was organized in collaboration with the National Handloom Development Corporation (NHDC) and the All India Artisans & Craft workers Welfare Association (AIACA), the initiative that brings together India’s diverse craft traditions, master artisans, and unique handmade products on a single platform.
