The Kashmir Valley continued to reel under severe cold conditions, with temperatures in Srinagar falling to minus 2 degrees Celsius. A dense fog covered Dal Lake, sharply reducing visibility, and only a few people were seen stepping outdoors.

According to the meteorological department, a brief spell of light snowfall is likely at isolated places in the higher reaches of the Valley on Friday.

Dry weather is expected to prevail on December 6 and 7, while another short spell of light snowfall may occur at isolated higher-altitude locations on December 8.
