Bihar Assembly Elections: Eight Lakh Election Officials Deployed

In Bihar, around eight lakh 50 thousand officials have been deployed to ensure the smooth functioning during the Assembly Elections. The Election Commission has said, these personnel include nearly 4,53,000 polling personnel, 2,50,000 police officials, over 28,000 counting personnel, and 18,000 micro observers.

The Poll body said that, for the first time in Bihar, one General Observer has been deployed for each of the 243 Constituencies.

In addition, 38 Police Observers and 67 Expenditure Observers have also been deployed. These observers will be stationed within their respective constituencies and will regularly meet with political parties and candidates to address any concerns.

The poll body said, election machinery, comprising 90 thousand 712 Booth Level Officers and 243 Electoral Registration Officers, is available for the voters on a phone call and through the Book-a-Call facility on the ECINet app.
