In a remarkable breakthrough BSF in a coordinated operation with State Special Operations Cell (SSOC) Fazilka, apprehended 02 arms smugglers and seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition along the Fazilka border(Indo-Pak) in Punjab.
Based on an intelligence report, a joint strategic ambush of BSF and SSOC was laid near village- Mahar Khiwa Mansa of district Fazilka during the night time.
After a patient wait of many hours, the ambush team noticed suspicious movement in the wee hours and successfully apprehended 01 criminal, and recovered 27 pistols, 54 magazines and 470 live rounds from a big sack in his possession.
Following sustained questioning of the nabbed delinquent, the team managed to apprehend his another associate from the same village.
The accused are residents of village Teja Rohella and village Mahar Jamsher respectively. Both are in the custody of SSOC, Fazilka for further investigations are underway.
