Discussion on Astronaut Captain Shubhanshu Shukla in Lok Sabha

The Lok Sabha has taken up a special discussion on India’s first astronaut, Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, aboard the International Space Station (ISS), focusing on the critical role of the space programme for Viksit Bharat by 2047.

Recently, Shukla was associated with Axiom 4 Mission as a mission pilot, working alongside team members Peggy Whitson, Slawomir Uznanski-Wizniewski, and Tibor Kapu.

Minister of State for Space Dr Jitendra Singh began the discussion. The Rajya Sabha has taken up the Indian Ports Bill 2025 for discussion and passage.
