Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, returned home to a rousing welcome. Filled with applause, pride, and the tricolor, people gathered at Delhi’s International Airport as Shukla reunited with his wife Kamna, his young son, and an emotional crowd.
Science and Technology Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh, ISRO Chairman Dr. V. Narayanan, and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta joined in to honor the astronaut whose journey to the International Space Station has etched a new milestone in India’s space story.
But Shukla brings back more than memories. His training at NASA, Axiom and SpaceX facilities , along with his mission experience at the ISS, will power India’s next giant leap: the Gaganyaan human spaceflight, set for 2027.
