9 Died in Vadodara Bridge Collapse, PM Condoles

At least 9 people died and 6 injured when a bridge in Vadodara, Gujarat collapsed. The mishap occurred today morning, when a portion of the Gambhira Bridge over the Mahisagar river fell. Vadodara SP (Rural) Rohan Anand confirmed the death.

Three bodies recovered and four persons saved so far and the rescue operations is underway.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives caused by the collapse of the bridge. In a message shared by the Prime Minister’s Office on social media platform X, PM Modi extended condolences to the families of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery for those injured in the tragic incident.
