DRDO Transfers Defence Technologies to Indian Industries

Defence Research and Development Organisation’s (DRDO) Vehicle Research and Development Establishment (VRDE) in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, has transferred technologies of 9 defence systems to 13 industries at an event on 07 June 2025. Dr. Samir V Kamat, Secretary DDR&D and Chairman, DRDO presided over the function attended by Dr. Prateek Kishore, DG (ACE) and G Ramamohana Rao, Director, VRDE.

The systems include the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) Recce Vehicle, Mounted Gun System, Anti-Terrorist Vehicle, and Vajra-Riot Control Vehicle, among others.

Dr Kamat complimented DRDO and the industry for the exceptional performance of indigenous systems during Operation Sindoor.

During the event R&DE(Engrs), DRDO, Pune also transferred the technology for Modular Bridge to Nibe Industries, Pune. The LAToT was handed over by Dr Samir V Kamat, in the presence of Dr Prateek Kishore, DG (ACE) and Dr Makarand G Joshi, Director, R&DE (E) to Nibe Industries

VRDE also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with COEP Technological University, Pune, to collaborate on emerging technologies.
