PM Plants Sindoor Sapling on Environment Day

During his recent visit to Kutch, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met a group of women who had shown remarkable courage during the 1971 war. As a gesture of respect and remembrance, the women presented him with Sindoor saplings.

Deeply moved by their gesture, Prime Minister Modi said he would plant the Sindoor at his residence. Fulfilling that promise, the Prime Minister on Thursday planted the Sindoor sapling at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg on the occasion of World Environment Day.
