On the occasion of World Bicycle Day, Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya inaugurated Urban Adda 2025, a three-day conclave aimed at uniting young voices, experts, and leaders to forge sustainable urban futures, today. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Mandaviya called cycling the best form of exercise which not only keeps people healthy but also helps in environmental sustainability highlighting it as a solution for pollution.

During the event, the Minister also launched two books titled “Cycling, Children & Cities” and “Road to Cycle2School,” authored by Dr. Bhairavi Joshi and Ar. Kush Parikh.

These publications highlight the need for safer, healthier and more accessible mobility options like cycling for our children in urban spaces.

The Minister further said that Sundays on Cycle initiative has become a nationwide movement for promoting Fit India. He urged everyone to cycle everyday and contribute towards Viksit Bharat by 2047.
