Heavy Landslide hits a Civil Workers’ Camp ; ITBP & Army rescue 10 Workers

ITBP & Army rescue teams swiftly launched rescue operations, evacuating 10 injured workers, when a heavy landslide hit a civil workers’ camp along Mana GST Road at 5 AM on 28 February, 2025.

The injured workers are now receiving treatment in ITBP and Army MI rooms. Efforts are ongoing to locate and evacuate the remaining trapped workers, despite extreme weather challenges.

Rescue operations are in full swing, with all necessary precautions in place.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) had earlier warned in it’s daily weather bulletin. According to the IMD warning due to active Western Disturbance, heavy to very heavy rainfall/snowfall likely over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and isolated heavy rainfall/snowfall over Uttarakhand on 28 February. and It may continue till 01 March.
