India U19 Women’s Cricket team Clinches the World Cup T20 at Kuala Lumpur

All round performance by Gangodi Trisha. India wins 2nd back-to-back T2O World Cup

India beat South Africa by 9 wickets to clinch the Women’s U19 T20 World Cup Cricket in Kuala Lumpur. In 2023 India won the coveted trophy beating England by 7 wickets. All round performance from Gongadi Trisha, won the player of the match award.

SA won the toss and elected to bat first. But they struggled with 20/2 after 4 overs. Parunika Sisodia gave an early break through taking the wicket of opener Simone Lauren for a duck. And the end of the power play SA was tottering at 29/3. India’s bowler dominated courtesy Gangodi Trisha for 3 wickets and fine show by Ayushi Shukla for 2/9.

SA were all out for 82 runs. India started thier innings all guns blazing. By the end f 4 overs India scored 36 runs without loosing any wicket. Gangodi Trisha remained unbeaten 44 off 33 balls smashing 8 fours. After the fall of first wicket Trisha was well supported by Sanika Chalke, who scored 26 off 22 balls. At the India chased down the low target with 52 balls remaining.

India remained unbeaten in the World Cup T20. SA also till the final hurdle were having their winning streak. This was India’s 2nd back to back World Cup T20 win.
