Lucknow-Mumbai Pushpak Rail Accident: 13 dead, many injured

At least 13 people were killed in a rail accident in Jalgaon, Maharashtra on wednesday, which include 9 men and 4 women.
On wednesday evening in the Lucknow- Mumbai Pushpak Express, the passengers became panicked and jumped from the train and were crushed by the wheels of Karnataka Express which was on move on the adjoining track.
The cause of the panic was that people thought the train was on fire and in a flash people tried to get out of the train.
Some seriously injured are taken to the local hospital in Pachora and admitted for immediate treatment. The Maharashtra Government has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakhs for the families of the deceased.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today condoled the loss of lives in the tragic accident on the railway tracks in Jalgaon, Maharashtra.
