Following the Central Government’s declaration of seven days National mourning on the passing away of Former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, Chandigarh Administration ordered to cancel all the events prior to New Year celebrations.
The Union Territory Administration issued special directives to all Government Departments to cancel all events.
In the mean time private clubs and some private institutions like Chandigarh Club, Chandigarh Golf Club, Chandigarh Press Club, Chandigarh Golf Association also have cancelled all their scheduled functions and parties.
To respect the former Prime Minister Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) in Mohali called off all the plans for their new year parties.
