Dommaraju Gukesh beats Ding Liren to become the Youngest ever World Chess Champion

D Gukesh of India became the youngest ever to win the Google FIDE World Chess Championship beating Ding Liren of China. Gukesh created history as earlier Gary Kasparov of Russia was the youngest world chess champion at the age of 22.

In a throbbing Final Gukesh defeated Liren while the Chinese was in a comfortable position till did the blunder. Gukesh won the 14th and Final Game of the Championship in a glittering evening in Singapore’s Resorts World Sentosa with score of 7.5- 6.5.

Congratulatory Messages are flooding in post X. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Leader of Opposition in Loksabha Rahul Gandhi Legendary World Chess Champion Vishwanathan Anand and many more congratulated D Gukesh.

Now Finally the Champion being decided after lots of ups and downs from both the finalists. Ding Liren gave tough challenge to Gukesh till the final Game. Before the 12th Game Gukesh was leading with 6-5. Liren came back strongly and defeated Gukesh in the Game No 12 to win and level the score 6-6 following a draw in the penultimate Game.

After the win Dommaraju Gukesh thanked God showing the gesture seeing the sky and was in tears of joy and ecstasy.

Vishwanathan Anand of India had won the Championship  for record 5 times.
