New Delhi || 11-11-2024 At a ceremony held today i.e on 11 November, 2024 at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Justice Sanjiv Khanna sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India. He made and subscribed to the oath of office before the President Droupadi Murmu. Sanjiv Khanna is the 51st CJI OF India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi,  Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Minister of Law & Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal and former CJI  D Y Chandrachud were also present in the oath taking ceremony.

The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has conveyed his best wishes to Justice Sanjiv Khanna on taking oath as Chief Justice of Supreme Court of India.

The Prime Minister posted on X:

“Attended the oath taking ceremony of Justice Sanjiv Khanna, who has been sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India. My best wishes for his tenure.”
