In an inspiring deed, Havildar Anil Kumar of 23 JAT, who is presently posted with the JAT Regimental Centre, Bareilly, displayed courage and humanity. According to a News Report, while on leave in  Kurukshetra, witnessing a man attempting self-immolation near a Railway Station due to distress over a fraudulent bank loan, Kumar acted without hesitation and saved the precious life by halting the man doing so.

This inspiring act, reflects the Indian Army’s enduring ethos of selfless service, societal responsibility and unwavering dedication. Whether in uniform or on leave, a soldier’s commitment to protect and serve remains steadfast, a guardian of the people at all times.
