The Department of Ayush has set up a free medical camp at the Baltal base camp to support pilgrims participating in the Amarnath Yatra 2025—an initiative that highlights the department’s dedication to public health and traditional medicine.

The Amarnath Yatra, one of India’s most revered pilgrimages, attracts thousands of devotees to the Kashmir Himalayas each year. Ensuring the well-being of yatris during this demanding journey is critical, and the Ayush medical camp is playing a vital role in that effort.

The camp offers a range of services, including medical consultations, routine health check-ups, traditional therapies, and personalized guidance on diet and lifestyle. Trained medical professionals and practitioners from various traditional systems are on-site to provide care, and free medicines are being distributed to the pilgrims.

The initiative not only addresses immediate health concerns but also promotes the value of holistic wellness rooted in India’s rich medical heritage.
