Mizoram Minister Seeks Central Support on Drugs, Youth, and Development

In a major effort to combat drug trafficking,

Mizoram Minister Lalnghinglova Hmar met with the Director General of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). He secured a commitment for specialized training for Mizoram’s narcotics personnel and confirmed plans to open an NCB Zonal Office in Aizawl to better counter the drug flow from Myanmar.

As the Sports & Youth Services Minister, Hmar also proposed the construction of a Youth Hostel in Aizawl and advocated for more youth development activities in the state. Additionally, he met with the Department of Public Enterprises to explore financial assistance for Mizoram’s development projects through Central Public Sector Enterprises.
