Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday sent a clear message to Naxalites: the government’s fight against them won’t pause during the monsoon. He was speaking at the laying the foundation stone ceremony of the National Forensic Science University and Central Forensic Science Laboratory’s Raipur Campus in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. He also e-inaugurated the temporary campus of NFSU.

Traditionally, militants take advantage of rainy season obstacles like swollen rivers to regroup, but this time, Shah vowed, authorities will keep up the pressure. The government aims to eliminate Naxalism by 2026.

Union Home Minister Shah also urged Naxalites to lay down arms and embrace India’s development path.
