NMIC hosts 7th Malaysian–NFDC Film Festival

The 7th edition of the Malaysian–NFDC Film Festival concluded on 18 June, 2025 at the National Museum of Indian Cinema (NMIC), celebrating a vibrant five-day showcase of cinematic collaboration between India and Malaysia. The festival was started from 14 June 2025.

The festival opened with the Malaysian action-thriller ‘Coast Guard Malaysia: Ops Helang’, in the presence of acclaimed Indian actor and director Chandan Roy Sanyal. The event concluded with the screening of ‘Tarpan’, graced by National Award-winning actress Divya Dutta as the Chief Guest for the closing ceremony.

Ahmad Zuwairi Yusoff, Consul General of Malaysia, was present throughout the festival, extending generous support and offering traditional Malaysian cuisine to visitors on both the opening and closing days. Marketing Manager, NMIC (NFDC), Jayita Ghosh inaugurated the festival by felicitating the Consul General and launching the official trailer. She played a key role in the curation and execution of the festival.

The Festival witnessed the participation of cinephiles, students, museum visitors, and media representatives from India and abroad.
