Usain Bolt, the Jamaican superstar sprinter and seven-time world record holder, has been inducted into the prestigious Guinness World Records ICON club. The award ceremony took place in Manchester, where Guinness Editor-In-Chief Craig Glenday presented Bolt with the ICON honor. Bolt’s world records in the 100m (9.58 seconds) and 200m (19.19 seconds), both set at the 2009 World Championships, remain unbeaten. His achievements continue to inspire athletes worldwide.

Bolt holds 15 Guinness World Records titles, recognizing not only his speed but also his unique bond with fans globally. Guinness ICONs are celebrated for transcending records to become cultural symbols, inspiring millions through their extraordinary accomplishments and lasting legacies.

This induction is part of the ‘GWR70: Be Part of It campaign’, marking Guinness World Records’ 70th anniversary on August 27, 2025. The campaign encourages everyone to embrace record-breaking challenges, highlighting the joy and inspiration found in pushing limits and participating.
