In Assam, Sribhumi Police seized 40,000 narcotic tablets during a recent operation near Girishganj. The consignment was being transported on a motorcycle towards Sribhumi town.

One suspect, Nurul Haque, was arrested in connection with the case. The estimated market value of the seized drugs is around Rs 8 crore. Anti-drug operations continue across the state.
