Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the historic centre of Nicosia as part of his official visit to Cyprus. He was accompanied by Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides during the tour, highlighting the two nations’ shared appreciation for cultural heritage.

Earlier in the day, PM Modi held a bilateral meeting with President Christodoulides, where both leaders discussed strengthening cooperation in trade, technology, education, and cultural exchange.

Following the meeting, the two leaders addressed a joint press briefing. PM Modi emphasized the mutual commitment to finalizing the India–EU Free Trade Agreement and voiced concerns over ongoing conflicts in West Asia and Europe. He reiterated India’s stance on diplomacy and dialogue as the path to global peace and stability
