Aimed at reviving and promoting tourism in the Kashmir Valley, a special meeting of travel agents was held at Tagore Hall, Srinagar, bringing together travel agents from across Kashmir, along with local and national delegations representing various states.

The meeting served as a key platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas, forge partnerships, and outline actionable strategies to boost tourist inflow and rejuvenate the region’s tourism sector.

Participants discussed several pressing issues impacting the industry, including the challenges faced by cab operators, travel agencies, and booking agents. Ground realities were examined, and obstacles to smooth tourism operations were brought to light.

Following detailed deliberations, a broad consensus was reached. All representatives pledged their full cooperation and committed to working collaboratively toward a sustainable and long-term revival of tourism in Kashmir.

After the horrifying terror attack on 22 April 2025, the picturesque and stunning valley is quiet this summer. Nearly 26 innocent civilians were killed by the L-e-T terror group in a worst attack.
