Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead a tree plantation drive on World Environment Day, June 5, 2025, at Bhagwan Mahavir Vanasthali Park in New Delhi. The event highlights India’s commitment to environmental conservation and promoting green mobility.

Under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative, the Prime Minister will plant a Banyan sapling as part of the ‘Aravalli Green Wall project,’ which aims to reforest the 700-km Aravalli range to enhance biodiversity and restore ecosystems.

The project focuses on a 5 km buffer zone around the Aravalli hills across 29 districts in Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Gujarat. It aims to improve soil fertility, water availability, and climate resilience in the region.

PM Modi will also flag off 200 electric buses under Delhi’s sustainable transport initiative, boosting clean urban mobility and reinforcing the nation’s environmental goals.
