The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha chaired a preparatory meeting at Raj Bhawan, Srinagar, ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit on June 6 to inaugurate the Chenab Bridge and launch the Vande Bharat train service connecting Kashmir to Kanyakumari.

Attended by senior administrative and police officials, the meeting focused on finalizing arrangements and urged public participation to make the event memorable.

The 272-km Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link is India’s most ambitious project, ensuring year-round connectivity to the Kashmir Valley.

The Chenab Bridge, the world’s highest railway arch bridge at 359 meters, symbolizes India’s progress toward becoming a developed nation by 2047
