IMD issues Orange Alert for Rain and Storms in 11 States

Rainfall activity will continue for the next 5 to 7 days in the Northeastern states

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for 11 states, including Assam, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, highlighting the possibility of light to moderate rainfall across these regions, with thunderstorms.

The weather forecast for Delhi indicates the possibility of mostly cloudy skies, light rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds. The maximum temperature is expected between 35 and 37 degrees Celsius, providing some relief from the persistent summer heat. The IMD has issued a yellow alert, urging residents to stay weather-aware.

The IMD stated that the region will continue to experience rainfall activity for the next 5 to 7 days in the Northeastern states of Assam, Sikkim, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, and Tripura.
