Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan delivered a special lecture on ‘Future Wars and Warfare’ at Savitribai Phule University in Pune, Maharashtra, on Tuesday. During his address, he spoke about the success of Operation Sindoor, calling it a significant achievement that created history.
General Chauhan stated that the operations carried out under the group marked a historic milestone in the domain of air warfare. He emphasised that the mission was executed against an adversary of comparable strength, and not against one lacking an air force or air defence systems.
He highlighted that Indian forces were able to conduct relentless, deep-strike operations with precision and offensive intent. “It was a big achievement,” he noted, adding that the forces succeeded in penetrating robust air-defence networks with impunity and on a large scale.
