Rain can spoil the chance to place a spot in the Play-offs for both Delhi Capitals(DC) and Mumbai Indians(MI). There is a prediction of heavy rainfall in Mumbai today. So the match between MI and DC may wash out.
That means both the team will share points. Mumbai is now with 14 points with 7 wins and 5 losses.
If today there will be no result DC will face Punjab Kings(PBKS) on 24 May (Saturday) to script their story for the Play-offs, provided a win and they will wait till Monday to see a MI defeat from PBKS.
DC has 13 points with 6 wins and a no result match. Today they can gain a point to make it 14 and If they win the match against PBKS, take them to 16 points, and pray for MI’s loss on Monday
If MI wins on Monday’s match, they will cement their place for the play-offs with 17 points. If DC wins on Saturday and MI share points in Monday’s match with PBKS, then Net Run Rate will come into the picture.
Gujarat Titans(GT), Royal Challengers Bengaluru(RCB) and Punjab Kings(PBKS) are already qualified for the play-offs with 18, 17 and 17 points respectively.
