Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on a two-day visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today at the invitation of Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Highlighting the growing ties between India and Saudi Arabia, in an interview with Arabnews, Modi described Saudi Arabia as a trusted friend and strategic ally, emphasising the significant expansion of bilateral relations since the creation of the Strategic Partnership Council in 2019.
PM Modi said,”For my Government the members of the Indian Diaspora are the Rashtradoots. Th 4Cs : Care, Connect, Celebrate and Contribute – is our motto of our engagement with our diaspora. Their safety, welfare and wellbeing is paramount for us.”
Highlighting India’s age-old tradition Yoga, he said that in the interview that Yoga has gained considerable popularity in Saudi Arabia in recent years, thanks to the encouragement and support of the Saudi Government.

This is the third visit of the Prime Minister to the Kingdom, earlier was in 2016 and 2019.
India and Saudi Arabia share close and friendly ties with a long history of socio-cultural and trade contacts. As strategic partners, the two countries share strong bilateral relations across various areas including political, defence, security, trade, investment, energy, technology, health, education, culture and people-to-people ties.
India’s relations with the Kingdom have evolved into a stronger and enduring partnership in the past decade, expanding into many strategic domains, with growing investment commitments, broadening of defence cooperation and intensive high-level exchanges across sectors.
PM Modi will meet the vibrant Indian community in Saudi Arabia that continues to serve as the living bridge between our nations and make immense contributions to strengthening the cultural and human ties.
