ITBP emerges as the best team for the record 4th consecutive year

The 43rd All India Police Equestrian Championship and Mounted Police Duty Meet 2024–25 concluded with a grand ceremony at the Basic Training Centre, Bhanu (ITBP). A total of 588 male and female riders from 19 States and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) participated in the competition, showcasing exceptional skill, discipline, and sportsmanship.

The Chief Guest at the closing ceremony was Dr. Sumita Mishra, Additional Chief Secretary (Home), Government of Haryana. She congratulated all participants, Himveers, media representatives, and guests on behalf of the Government of Haryana.

She felicitated the winners with trophies and lauded the event as a celebration of professional competence and cooperation among police forces.

Sanjay Kumar Chaudhary, ADG, Western Command, ITBP, welcomed the Chief Guest, DG ITBP, jury members, participants, guests, and media, and expressed gratitude to Haryana Police, Chandigarh Police, Punjab Police, and the local administration for their support in the successful conduct of the championship.

Vidhu Shekhar, Joint Director (AIPSB), commended ITBP for efficiently organizing the event.

All teams demonstrated remarkable courage, discipline, and high-level equestrian training across various competitions.

Constable Priyadarshini from CRPF In the women’s category, was declared Best Woman Rider, securing 1 Gold, 1 Silver, and 2 Bronze medals.

In the men’s category, Rameshwar Rana, Second-in-Command, ITBP, earned the Best Rider title with a total of 8 medals, and was awarded the prestigious Mewar Challenge Trophy.

ITBP emerged as the Best Team for the fourth consecutive year, winning a total of 25 medals, and was awarded the Chhatrapati Challenge Trophy.

Rajasthan Police secured 2nd position, followed by Assam Rifles.

The national event was not only a competition but a testament of celebration of unity, discipline, and the rich equestrian traditions of Indian police forces.
