This year’s Republic Day Parade will witness a very rare and proud moment. Indian Army’s father-son duo will participate and lead their respective teams. The father-son duo are Lieutenant General Bhavnesh Kumar and Lieutenant Aahan. Lt Gen. Bhavnesh Kumar will lead as the Parade Commander whereas Lt Aahan will lead the Horse Contingent.
Expressing his happiness Lt Gen. Kumar says, for the family it’s a moment of gratitude, we feel very fortunate that our organizations have selected me as the parade commander and my son as the contingent commander. So for a family it becomes a memorable moment.
Lt Aahan says, I had volunteered to join the forces and commanding the parade happens to be a great coincidence. So I would thank the regiment for sending me, that’s a proud moment for carrying the legacy of the family.
It will be great and interesting to watch the duo this year in the Republic Day Parade.
