Highlights of Oneplus 13
Oneplus 13 launched in India starting with a price tag of Rs 69,999 with 12 GB RAM + 256 GB Storage with a massive 6000MAH battery, 5.5G Network, Ultrasonic Fingerprint & IP68 & 69 rating with ceramic Guard, Oneplus 13 is the third phone launching in India featuring Snapdragon 8 Elite.
Let’s talk about Oneplus 13
Premium! The first time I held this phone. There is no compromise in the case of hardware. I am not a big fan of this design, but seems like oneplus will stick to this design language for some time.
One thing I noticed is after having a massive 6000MAH battery, this phone managed to be slim like other phones. And the reason behind this is Silicon carbon battery technology. This is a 2-day battery phone if you are not a gamer. It supports 80 watts wired & 50 watts wireless charging. Speaking about wireless charging, oneplus has tried something which we can call the Android way of Magsafe. Oneplus has designed some official cases for OP13 which have a magnetic ring in them and that kind of works like Magsafe & works with all Magsafe accessories.
The display got A++ from Displaymate which is claiming to be the world’s first display to get. QHD+, 120hz LTPO, 1600 nits in high brightness & 4500 nits peak brightness. For those who have sensitive eyes, it has a high frequency of 2160 Hz PWM dimming. Aqua Touch 2.0 you can use the phone while the screen is wet. Besides the ultrasonic fingerprint is very fast.
The fifth generation of the HASSELBLAD partnership. Main, ultra-wide & telephoto all have a 50-megapixel sensor. The photos are decent and sharper than the predecessors. 4k 60p in all the cameras and 8k30 in the main censor. In a race towards competing with all the flagships while keeping the price in mind, I feel somewhere you have to compromise and in oneplus that part is the camera. I am not saying it is bad but following the history to present oneplus lack in this part.
Ai I felt as a gimmick on this phone. If we compare it with Samsung Ai oneplus has a long way to go.
Oxygen os 15 comes inbuilt. There is no doubt it is smooth and fast. Interestingly, they have copied the dynamic island from Apple. It is called Live Alert Capsules and the implementation of this is intuitive and useful. You will find most of the stock apps you find on OPPO phones.
My School of Thought
So my final thought is this flagship has all things best and latest with the Snapdragon 8 Elite costing less than most of the flagships. There could have been more improvements in terms of hardware design and more inbuilt apps like (Samsung Wallet & Health). I would say go for it and you will not be disappointed.
