Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami and Ayush Minister Prataprao Ganapatrao Jadhav graced the 10th World Ayurveda Congress (WAC) today at Dehradun, Uttarakhand. WAC 20224 is organized by the World Ayurveda Foundation and supported by the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India & Government of Uttarakhand.
The Theme of WAC this year is ‘Digital Health; An Ayurvedic Perspective’.
Speaking on the occasion Ayush Minister Prataprao Ganapatrao Jadhav said that like every year Shri Narandra Modi’s blessings are with us. Today the Ayush Industry has grown 8 times due to the efforts taken by PM Narendra Modi in the last 10 years. Ayush Herbal Products are exported to more than 150 countries.
Appreciating the development in Ayush sector, Minister Jadhav said “I am happy to know Ayurveda adopted Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and other Digital Technology like modern scientific equipment in application”.
Addressing the gathering CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said, “It’s a proud moment that 10th Ayurveda Congress is being organized in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. Delegates from more than 50 countries and more than 6000 Ayurveda specialists are participating in WAC this year. Ayurveda is such a system of treatment from ancient times and it is helping the society for holistic health and wellness”. Under the leadership of Visionary Prime Minister, the Ayush Ministry was established and Ayurveda is being recognized in the whole world, said CM Dhami.
Focusing on the event Secretary of Ayush Ministry Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha said we really called World Ayurveda Congress as Ayurveda’s Mahakumbh. It serves as a platform of the rich heritage of Ayurveda mixed with modern science, where traditions are celebrated and innovations are inspired.
This Congress is not only an event, but a confluence of minds and ideas that shape the future of holistic health and wellbeing, Secretary Kotecha said
This edition of World Ayurveda Congress has been structured to accommodate the following categories: International Diplomats, Teachers UG Students Research Officers PG/Ph.D Scholars Manufacturers and Traders Public Outreach Inter-Disciplinary .This is a high time to pray for universal solidarity, Harmony and peace.
The first World Ayurveda Congress (WAC) was held in 2002 at Kochi as an outreach programme, to create greater awareness and opportunities in the practice, science, and trade of Ayurveda. The subsequent Congresses organised at Pune, Jaipur, Bangalore, Bhopal, Delhi, Kolkata & Ahmedabad were not only helped in promoting Ayurveda within the country but also had a huge impact in propagating Ayurveda globally.
