The President of India, Droupadi Murmu paid floral tributes to Pranab Mukherjee, former President of India, on his birth anniversary today at Ashok Mandap, Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Pranab Mukherjee served the country as the 13th President from 2012 to 2017. Before election of President he was the Finance Minister of India from 2009 to 2012.
He was conferred with India’s highest civilian award ‘Bharat Ratna’ in 2019.
Remembering the former President PranaB Mukherjee the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi also wrote on his X Account :

His contributions to India’s development are noteworthy. He was blessed with a unique ability to build consensus across the spectrum and this was due to his vast experience in governance and his deep understanding of India’s culture as well as ethos. We will keep working to realise his vision for our nation.”
