New Delhi || 14-11-2024 India beat South Africa by 35 runs and leading the 4 match T20 series 2-1. Thanks to a splendid Century by Tilak Verma who adjudged as the player of the match.
Winning the toss Captain Aiden Markram chose to bowl. Sanju Samson bowled in the 2nd ball off Marco Jensen of the first over. Abhishek Sharma scored 50 off 25 balls with 3 fours and 5 sixes. Tilak Verma and Abhishek Sharma had a wonderful 2nd wicket partnership of 107 runs.
India scored 219 runs in 20 overs. Tilak Verma scored 107runs off just 56 balls with 7 sixes and 8 fours.
Chasing a huge target SA lost wickets in regular intervals. But Special knock from Marco Jensen gave some hope for South African fans. He scored 54 off just 17 balls with 5 towering sixes and 5 fours. Heinrich Klaasen also contributed valuable 41 runs off 22 deliveries.
At the end it was India who fought it hard to win the match by 11 runs. For India Arshdeep Singh got 3-37 and expensive Varun Chakraborty got 2-54.
India had won the first match by 61 runs and SA won the 2nd match by 3 wickets.
