New Delhi || 11-11-2024 The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi today congratulated Prime Minister elect Dr Navin Ramgoolam on his historic election victory in Mauritius.

In a post on X, PM Modi wrote:

“Had a warm conversation with my friend @Ramgoolam_Dr, congratulating him on his historic electoral victory. I wished him great success in leading Mauritius and extended an invitation to visit India. Look forward to working closely together to strengthen our special and unique partnership.”

Dr Ramgoolam served as the Prime Minister of Mauritius for the first time from December 1995 until September 2000, then again served as the PM of Mauritius from 2005 to 2014. He is the Leader of Labour Party.
