Ashwini Vaishnaw Inaugurates New Train Service Between Uttarakhand And Maharashtra

Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw yesterday virtually inaugurated a new train service between Tanakpur in Uttarakhand and Hazur Sahib at Nanded in Maharashtra, along with the extension of the Tanakpur-Pilibhit rail service up to Shahjahanpur.

He said the new service fulfils a long-pending demand of people living in the Terai region of Uttarakhand.

Meanwhile, at Tanakpur Railway Station in Uttarakhand’s Champawat district, Union Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu, along with Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Ajay Tamta, flagged off the new train service.

Speaking on the occasion, Bittu thanked the Central Government and said that the launch of the Tanakpur-Nanded Express would provide a major boost to religious tourism.
