Modified UDAN Scheme To Boost Regional Connectivity: Ram Mohan Naidu

Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu today highlighted that the launch of the Modified UDAN Scheme will mark the next chapter of India’s regional connectivity journey.

Naidu said, the scheme, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi with an outlay of over 28,840 crore rupees, will strengthen connectivity in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.

He said, the scheme will facilitate the development of over 100 new aerodromes and 200 helipads, bringing the dream of affordable air travel closer to millions and connecting the aspirations of a rising India.

Referring to the inauguration of the new terminal at Jodhpur Airport, Mr Naidu said, the world-class facility will strengthen connectivity in the Marwar region while opening new avenues for tourism, trade, and economic growth across Rajasthan.
