Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the Occupied Lebanese Territory on June 30 and said that Israel will not leave that part of the country until the threat from Hezbollah has been removed.

His visit came days after Israel and Lebanon enterted into a U.S.-mediated security agreement under which Israel is expected to hand over two areas to the Lebanese army.

Prime Minister Netanyahu said Hezbollah still has thousands of rockets and missiles, while Israel maintains its military presence in a buffer zone along the border, despite a ceasefire agreed earlier this month.

Meanwhile US Envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner have arrived in Doha for mediated talks on implementing the initial U.S.-Iran deal aimed at ending the war in Iran.
