The house-to-house data verification phase of the Census begins across Keralam today as part of the nationwide Census exercise. The field verification follows the completion of the self-enumeration process, which ended at midnight yesterday.

During the self-enumeration phase, households were able to digitally submit details of family members through the Census portal. Residents who completed the online registration are required to provide the Self Enumeration Identification number to the Census enumerator during the household visit.

The enumerator will verify whether the information submitted online matches the existing records. If any discrepancies are found, or if a household has not completed self-enumeration, the enumerator will collect the required information afresh during the visit.
