ISSF Junior World Chapionships: India tops with 25 Medals, On Final Day Bags 4

Indian shooters finished the ISSF Junior World Championship in Germany at the top of the standings with 25 medals.

Indian athletes won seven gold, eight silver and 10 bronze medals to top the standings for the second straight edition.

They bagged four medals on the final day. In the 50-metre men’s pistol event, Raj Chandra won the bronze medal.

The Indian trio of Kumar Yogesh, Prateek and Abhinav Choudhary claimed silver in the team event.

Parisha Gupta bagged a bronze medal in the team event along with Sanskriti Bana and Sejal Kamble.

India’s Air Rifle Mixed Team of Kshirsagar and Shaw, in the final day smashed the World Record Junior, scoring 505.8.

More than 800 shooters from 70 federations competed at the fifth edition of the championships.
