External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar arrived in Mongolia today for a two-day official visit. Sharing this information in social media ‘X’, Jaishankar stated that “Delighted to meet FM Battsetseg Batmunkh in Ulaanbaatar.”
“Our discussions reflected the warmth, strength and promise of our Strategic Partnership. Reviewed the progress in our cooperation in development projects, capacity building, culture, education, security and multilateral fora. Also spoke about opportunities in mining, clean energy and agri processing. As a third neighbour and a spiritual partner, India stands ready to advance its close and cordial ties with Mongolia”, he added.
In the second leg of his tour, he will visit South Korea on Wednesday and Thursday. During this visit, Jaishankar will hold discussions with Foreign Minister Cho Hyun.
He will also deliver the keynote address at the Jeju Forum for Peace and Prosperity in Jeju on Thursday.
