The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Sunday conducted the NEET UG 2026 re-examination across the country under enhanced security arrangements. The re-examination was held following the cancellation of the earlier examination amid allegations of a paper leak.

The Ministry of Education said elaborate arrangements were put in place to ensure the smooth, transparent and fair conduct of the examination. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had earlier chaired a high-level review meeting with senior officials of the Ministry, State Governments, the NTA and higher education institutions to assess preparedness for the re-examination. He emphasised maintaining the highest standards of integrity, transparency and efficiency throughout the examination process.

Ahead of the examination, the NTA also launched a dedicated online portal enabling candidates to report fake claims, fraudulent websites and misinformation related to the examination. Candidates were advised to rely only on official communication issued by the NTA and the Ministry of Education
