Himachal Road Accident: Seven people died on the Chamba-Masrund road

Seven people lost their lives in a severe road accident on the Chamba-Masrund road in Chamba district around 2 AM. The accident occurred when a Bolero vehicle went out of control and plunged into a deep gorge.

Four men and three women died on the spot. According to preliminary information, all the deceased were residents of Kuthed village.

Upon receiving news of the accident, a police team arrived at the incident and, with the help of locals, conducted relief and rescue operations.

After considerable effort, all the bodies were retrieved from the gorge. Subsequently, the bodies were sent to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Government Medical College, Chamba, for post-mortem examinations.

The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident.
