External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar held talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, on Wednesday. Lavrov is in New Delhi to participate in the BRICS Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.
In his opening remarks, Dr. S. Jaishankar said that relations between India and Russia have become even stronger and steadier in an uncertain and volatile global environment.
Both the leaders had conversation on several aspects of the Indo-Russian special & privileged strategic partnership, including trade & investment, energy & connectivity, science & technology, as well as facilitating mobility of skills & talent. Jaishankar and Lavrov also discussed global and multilateral issues of mutual interest.
