Second-placed Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and third-ranked Gujarat Titans (GT) will face off in Ahmedabad today in a match that could prove pivotal in shaping the Indian Premier League playoff race. The match will begin at 7:30 PM IST.

With the top three sides — Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Gujarat Titans — all locked on 14 points, net run rate could become a decisive factor in the race for the playoffs, making it imperative for Sunrisers Hyderabad to improve theirs.

Gujarat Titans appear slightly better placed after recovering from a slow start to the season with a string of crucial wins, including a commanding 77-run victory over Rajasthan Royals, which lifted them to third on the points table.

Sunrisers Hyderabad have found their rhythm at the right time, with an emphatic 33-run win over Punjab Kings. But they cannot afford complacency as the race for the playoffs remains extremely tight, and a single misstep could prove costly.

Yesterday in a thrilling encounter at Dharamshala, Delhi Capitals (DC) beat Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 3 wickets Winning the toss DC invited PBKS to chase a mammoth target of 211. At one stage it looked like Delhi batsmen will not able to cross the target. But half centuries each from captain Axar Patel and David Miller able to get quick runs to give oppertunity the lower order batsmen to chased down. DC now continues in the hunt for the place in the play-off.
