The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in collaboration with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) organised the Mind Activation Through Education MATE Counselors’ Conclave in New Delhi yesterday.
The event marks the expansion of Project MATE, which is an adolescent well-being initiative developed by AIIMS New Delhi.
The initiative is aimed at promoting emotional, social and psychological well-being among middle-school students alongside academic growth.
CBSE said that the project has entered its second phase with participation from principals and counsellors of over 60 schools across Delhi-NCR.
It added that under the programme, counsellors will undergo a five-day capacity-building training at AIIMS New Delhi from the 11-15 May.
The Project MATE modules will be implemented from July this year for students of Classes 6 to 8. The initiative includes well-being modules, peer-support activities and parent engagement workshops aimed at strengthening emotional and psychological well-being among adolescents.
