The discussions focused on ongoing cooperation, new ideas and initiatives, and the implementation of commitments made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his last visit.
Earlier, Dr. Jaishankar signed key agreements related to tourism, solarisation of the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs building, quick impact projects, and the establishment of an Ayurveda Chair in Trinidad and Tobago.
The External Affairs Minister also participated in a community engagement programme alongside the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago during the handover of Made-in-India laptops to schoolchildren in the twin-island nation.
The initiative, announced during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s earlier outreach, was highlighted as an effort to expand learning opportunities, awareness, and digital access for students.
Dr. Jaishankar also addressed members of Parliament and held meetings with senior leaders of Trinidad and Tobago.
The External Affairs Minister also shared his remarks during the flag-raising ceremony at the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs of Trinidad and Tobago.
